Narration interrogative sentence

গঠনপ্রনালী : Reporting speech + if/whether + Reported speech.

Inverted Comma এর পরিবর্তে if/whether হবে । কিন্তু WH Question থাকলে অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে অর্থাৎ If/Whether বসবে না এবং WH Question থেকে যাবে ।

Reporting verbটি Present বা Future হলে Reported verb এর কোন পরিবর্তন হয় না । কিন্তু Reporting verbটি Past tense হলে নিয়ম অনুসারে Reported verbটি পরিবর্তিত হবে ।

Reporting say/says/said/tell/tells/told এর পরিবর্তে ask/asks/asked বসে ।

Reported speechটিকে Assertive বাক্যে রূপান্তরিত করতে হবে । Examples :
Direct : I said to the boy, "did you go to school ?"
Indirect : I asked the boy if he had gone to school.
Direct : I said to the man, "Who are you ?"
Indirect : I asked the man who he was.
Direct : He said to me, "You are going to the play ground, aren't you ?"
Indirect : He asked me whether it was true that I was going to the playground.
