Imperative sentence narration
গঠনপ্রনালী : Reporting speech + to + Reported speech এর Present verb + বাকি অংশ ।
Inverted comma এর পরিবর্তে to হবে । বাক্যটি Negative হলে not to হবে । Not এর পরিবর্তে Forbid বা Prohibitবসানো যায় ।

Reporting say, says, said, tell, tells, told এর পরিবর্তে order, orders, ordered, request, requests, requested, advise, advises, advised, command, commands, commanded বসে ।
(i) আদেশ বোঝালে order/orders/ordered হবে ।
(ii) উপদেশ বোঝালে advise/advises/advised হবে ।
(iii) অনুরোধ বোঝালে request/requests/requested হবে ।
Direct speech এর please, sir ইত্যাদি Indirect speech এ তুলে দেওয়া হয় এবং তার অর্থ প্রকাশের জন্য Reporting verbটিকে request করা হয় অথবা kindly, politely ইত্যাদি adverb যোগ করা হয় । উদাহরণ :
Direct : Mother said, "Don't run in the sun."
Indirect : Mother advised not to run in the sun.
or
Mother forbade to run in the sun.
Direct : He said to me, "Please give me a glass of water."
Indirect : He requested me to give him a glass of water.
Direct : He said to me, "Please open the door."
Indirect : He requested me to open the door.
or
He told me politely to open the door.
Inverted comma এর পরিবর্তে That বসে ।
Let দ্বারা পরামর্শ বুঝলে suggest/suggests/suggested হবে । প্রস্তাব বোঝালে propose/proposes/ proposed হবে । Let উঠে যাবে ।
Subject এর পরে should/might বা might be allowed to বসবে ।
বাক্যে Could, Must, Would থাকলে অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে । Examples :
Direct : We said, "Let him tell the story."
Indirect : We said that he might tell the story.
Direct : He said, "Let me come in."
Indirect : He requested that he might be allowed to come in.
Direct : Lucky said to Rockeya, "Let us have a picnic today."
Indirect : Lucky proposed to Rockeya that they should have a picnic that day.
